Description

Mendip CSW are in need of members especially in the Frome area to join us .We check the speeds of vehicles at various sites within the area and those over the agreed threshold with Avon & Somerset police are sent a warning letter in the first instance. The work is not hard and merely requires a group member to be available some 2-4 hours per month (not week)
Full training is given and appropriate clothing is also supplied .
There are no fees to find and no expenses are given as the positions (as many as we can get !!) are purely voluntary.

Organisation Description

Mendip Community Speed watch (CSW) is an organisation dedicated to checking the speed of vehicles in the Mendip area in conjunction with Avon & Somerset Police. Motorists are sent a warning letter about their speed by the police. Full training is given and members need to be able to give up some 1-4 hours per month.

Currently we have several vacancies in the Frome area to join our team. Teams are made up of 2-3 members.

There is no upper age limit and a lower age limit of 16.
