Everyone is welcome. Flexible time commitment, ideally volunteers should be available for a 2-hour shift per week.

Description

As a general repairer you will be helping for a couple of hours per week to fix items in the shop which have been reported as broken or faulty.

At times items loaned out do get broken so or are reported as faulty so these need some TLC to restore them to their former glory.

Members of the community also sometimes donate items to us for us to loan out that need a little fix before doing so.

Upkeep of some existing items can also be carried out in this role e.g. keeping tools sharp.

Organisation Description

SHARE is a community shop in Frome which is intended to reduce waste, reduce pollution, save people money and cultivate community. It is a place for people to borrow objects, share skills and connect with others.

We aim to get people spending less, wasting less and connecting more. And by doing this, help people to save money, reduce waste, and cultivate a happier and more resilient community.

Volunteers are at the heart of SHARE and may wholly run the service in the future. Sharing your time increases the sustainability of SHARE and helps it to be an effective and valued resource for the people of Frome.
