Would you like to help people in your community during the COVID-19 crisis? We've launched Corona Helpers, a new website where individuals can pledge their support and COVID-19 support groups can recruit and manage volunteers. Visit www.corona-helpers.co.uk. This means that we may take a little longer to reply to contact requests about opportunities that are not related to COVID-19 support, so please bear with us and thank you for your patience.

Description

Are you passionate about big issues affecting society today and building young people’s awareness and self-confidence to cope with the challenges of tomorrow?

If this sounds like you ICM needs you!

ICM is a young and growing mental health charity for young people and their families across Somerset and based in Burnham-on-Sea. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us in a variety of ways.

We have a wide range of roles including providing administrative support in our busy office helping to deal with the many enquiries we receive from around Somerset and beyond. Part of the role involves providing additional cover so that the office can be staffed when our counsellors are in. Other roles include supporting our events – this may involve staffing a stall at a promotional event or taking part in a walking group. We are also seeking skills to develop our social media presence.

ICM is a small friendly, fun organisation and you will be provided with reimbursement of expenses, an induction, training and on-going support. The role does require a DBS check prior to starting your volunteering with us.
